1. Who We Are

The Libertarian Party of Jefferson County (“LPJC,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is a recognized political organization operating in Jefferson County, Colorado. Our website is located at lpjeffco.org. Questions about this policy may be directed to [email protected].

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide Directly

When you become a member, make a donation, sign up for communications, or contact us, we may collect:

  • Party affiliation or voter registration status
  • Employer and occupation (required by federal and Colorado campaign finance law for contributions above applicable thresholds)

This information is collected because applicable federal law (52 U.S.C. § 30101 et seq.) and Colorado campaign finance statutes require political organizations to collect and report certain contributor and member data.

Information from Public and Third-Party Sources

We may obtain information about Colorado residents from the following sources:
  • Colorado Secretary of State (SOS): Colorado law permits recognized political organizations to access voter registration data provided by the SOS. This data may include name, address, party affiliation, and voting history.
  • Third-party data providers: In the future, we may purchase or license data from vendors (such as voter data or civic engagement data providers) to assist in outreach, recruitment, and data accuracy efforts.
Where we obtain data from these sources, we use it solely for lawful political activity, including outreach, canvassing, and membership recruitment. We do not combine purchased or SOS-sourced data with commercial marketing data or sell it to third parties.

Our website uses cookies necessary for basic site functionality (such as session management). We do not currently use advertising or tracking cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and implement a cookie consent mechanism.

6. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:
  • Candidates and volunteers: We may share your name, address, and contact information with LPJC-endorsed candidates or door-to-door canvassers for lawful political outreach. We share only the minimum information necessary for the specific activity.
