Leadership
Ross Metler — Chair
Ross Metler serves as Chair of the Libertarian Party of Jefferson County. As the affiliate’s top officer, he leads the organization’s strategic direction, oversees operations, and represents Jeffco LP at the Colorado LP state level.
Kirsten Lauren — Vice Chair
Kirsten Lauren serves as Vice Chair of the Libertarian Party of Jefferson County. She supports the Chair in day-to-day leadership, helps coordinate membership outreach, and supports the affiliate’s digital presence and community engagement efforts. Like many members of the libertarian party, firsthand experience with state control drove Kirsten to divorce herself from the duopoly, and the realization that she could work to effect positive change for herself and her community within the Libertarian party led her to get involved. She believes Jefferson county is beautiful and worth fighting for, and works to leave it better than she found it.
William Long — Secretary
William Long serves as Secretary of the Libertarian Party of Jefferson County. He keeps the affiliate organized, maintains official records, manages meeting minutes, and ensures the affiliate operates in accordance with its bylaws and Colorado LP guidelines. Secretary Long is a staunch advocate for effective libertarian strategy, preferring tangible results over ideological purity. When he is not working to liberate Jefferson County, he is a husband and author who—much like O. Henry—values brevity.
